We are very excited to start another new school year here at Gloucester Township Public Schools.  We have amazing students, teachers, and families.  We are here for every student to be successful and reach their full potential.

I am a graduate of Rowan University, with a BA in History, specializing in International Studies and Africa/African Diaspora Studies.  My favorite areas of research include Ancient Egypt, Archaeology, Geography, the cultures of sub-Saharan Africa, Native Americans, and the history of Buddhism and Taoism.

Additionally, I served as a Ben Franklin Liberty Fellow with the American Institute for History Education where I completed in-depth study of the major colonial and Civil War era history of the United States and collaborated with professors, historical sites, policy makers, and educators to build the capacity for teaching American history in our schools.

Later at Rowan, I pursued graduate work and earned a MST degree in Secondary Education, as well as two  Certificates of Advanced Graduate Study in the School Supervisor and Principal Preparation programs.

I previously spent 13 years as an English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Gifted and Talented teacher at West Deptford Middle School. While there, I was able to lead staff in numerous progressive change projects including Writer’s/Reader’s Workshop, a 1-1 Laptop Initiative, curriculum writing and evaluation, Positive Behavior Supports in Schools program, and the EE4NJ Teacher Evaluation System Pilot.

When not working, I enjoy reading, tennis, golf, basketball and fishing.

I look forward to supporting the students and staff of Gloucester Township.  It is going to be an amazing school year!
