Blackwood Elementary School will uphold an oath to the ideals of Scholarship, Honesty, Integrity, Respect, Independence, Entrepreneurialism, and Diversity. Students will observe these ideals in action and be provided with opportunities to practice them as they develop as individuals. Students may find themselves conflicted when trying to live virtuously to these ideals and will be forced to make difficult decisions. Growth will come with each time a student makes a decision that challenges their beliefs, whether their beliefs are validated or not. Through self-discovery, students will live up to their potential and develop holistically. As a fully developed, free-thinking individual, students will contribute to the greater good of the world.
