About Our School and District

James W.Lilley Elementary School is a K-5 school in Gloucester Township, NJ. Built in 1986, it was named after former Superintendent James W. Lilley, whose career in the Gloucester Township Public School District spanned three decades.
In 2006 Lilley School held its 20 year anniversary celebration. Mr. Lilley, along with the 8 original staff members who began their careers at Lilley School and still worked there in 1986 were honored.
Lilley School has a current enrollment of almost 500 students and draws from the Erial and Sicklerville sections of Gloucester Township. There are currently eight elementary and three middle schools. The entire staff at the JW Lilley Elementary School is committed to providing a learning environment which is structured, stimulating, and challenging. The instructional staff maintains an academic emphasis and a climate of high expectations. We believe students are prepared for the middle school experience if they have established a personal accountability for their academic, social, and emotional growth.
